Sao Paulo’s former general delegate, Ruy Ferraz Fontes, was killed in an ambush on Monday night (15), in Praia Grande, on the south coast of São Paulo, with more than 60 shots. According to a police report, at least 69 shots were fired at the victim’s vehicle. In the crime scene, the skill collected 17 7.62 rifle cartridges, 31 5.56 caliber cartridges, 15 9 mm pistol cartridges and six damaged cartridges. The sources car had 29 perforations.
Safety cameras images show that the criminals parked a vehicle on Arnaldo Vittuli Street around 6 pm and waited about 15 minutes. Research lines
The Secretary of Public Security, Guilherme Derrite, said two suspects were identified through genetic material collected in the car used in the action. The main suspicion of the task force is that the crime is linked to the First Capital Command (CCP). A faction leader, who left a federal prison a month ago, is investigated as a possible principal.
Another hypothesis finds whether the execution could be related to a municipal bid that would have reached criminal interests.
Historic
Known for the fight against the CCP, Ferraz Fontes gained notoriety in 2006, when he indicted the entire faction summit, including Marco Willians Herbas Camacho, Marcola. In 2019, when Marcola was transferred to a federal prison, sources was a general delegate of the Civil Police, a position he held until 2022.
It was not the first time he had suffered attacks or threats. In December 2023, he was robbed on the coast of São Paulo and reported Temer for family security. In 2022, 2020 and 2012 was also the victim of robberies and ambushes. Gaeco prosecutors had already pointed out, in previous investigation, that there were plans from the CCP to execute the former delegate. The case is being investigated by the Department of Homicide and Person Protection (DHPP), with the support of other sectors of the Civil Police.
