GENIAL SURVEY/QUAREST disclosed on Tuesday (16) shows that 41% of Brazilians are opposed to the amnesty proposal to convicts for attempted coup after the 2022 elections.
36% defend benefit to all involved, including the former president (PL). Another 10% consider that only acts of acts of January 8, 2023 should be forgiven. They do not know or did not answer 13%.
The poll is the first made after the convictions of the so -called crucial core of the coup plot by the Federal Supreme Court for attempted coup and four more crimes.
There were 2,004 in -person interviews in all regions of the country, between September 12 and 14. The global margin of error is two percentage points.
Among the survey participants who declare themselves Lulistas, 58% are against amnesty, 22% are in favor for all, 8% are in favor of amnesty for those involved in January 8, and 12%, did not know or did not respond.
Among the pockets, 19% are amnesty, 62% are in favor of amnesty for all, including Bolsonaro, and 12% are in favor only for those who participated in January 8. They did not know or did not answer 7%.
Among those who earn more than five minimum wages, 43% advocate amnesty to the former president, and 40% are against. Among those who earn up to two minimum wages, 29% are contrary to amnesty and 43% in favor of a broad proposal. The margin of error for these groups is four percentage points.
Among women, 32% advocate forgiveness to all involved. A portion of 40% of men is in the same way. The margin of error for both groups is three percentage points.
45%of interviewees with complete higher education are against amnesty, 41%, in favor of a proposal for forgiveness to all involved, including Bolsonaro, and 8%, in favor of amnesty only those involved on January 8. Among those who have even elementary school, there are 41% opposite, 31% favorable to a broad project and 8% supporters of a forgiveness only to participants from January 8. The margin of error for such groups is four percentage points.
Catholics reject the amnesty in 43%, compared to 33% of evangelicals. Error margins are, respectively, three and four percentage points.
