The Ministry of Health of denounced this Wednesday (17) a bombing launched by Last night against Al Rantisi Hospital, in the city of Gaza, the only pediatric specialist that works in the Enclave capital. “The hospital’s upper floors were attacked on three occasions, with a few minutes difference between each attack,” said Gaza’s health portfolio in a statement. Sources in the track indicated to the EFE agency that attacks against the health center were carried out with drones.
At the time of the attack, the hospital had 80 patients under treatment, specified the Ministry of Health, of which 40 left the center after the bombing. “Forty patients and their caregivers remain there, along with 12 patients in intensive care and 30 members of the hospital team,” the authorities said. The Enclave Health Folder did not disclose numbers of injured or killed by the attack.
Al Rantisi Hospital is the last center with a specialty in pediatrics that remains in the capital and offers oncology, dialysis and other specialties in respiratory and digestive diseases. The center, as well as the rest of hospitals in operation in the capital, suffered a serious saturation due to the Israeli offensive against the city. In late August, before Israel intensified the bombings against the capital further and started its terrestrial operation, Al Rantisi Hospital was already in 210% of its capacity.
