The Israeli army will open this Wednesday at 12.00 local time (one hour less in Madrid) a second road that crosses the Gaza Strip from north to south so that the population of the laity to the south is necessarily moved, which will remain open for 48 hours.
“You can move along the Salah to DIN road and then continue south from Wadi Gaza (center),” he collected a statement in the social network X of the Arabic spokesman for the Armed Forces, Avichay Adraee.
Salah al DIN crosses the Gaza Strip from north to south on the eastern side of the enclave, parallel to the dividing with Israeli territory. The other route open so far, that of Rashid, also travels the entire enclave but on the western side, parallel to the coast.
However, most refugees in the city of Gaza are in the west, in the camps next to the beach (the place to which the Israeli army itself ordered them to move, since their offensive in the area advances from the east and the north).
Asked by Efe about whether the Armed Forces will guarantee some type of safe route from the west of Ciudad de Gaza to the east so that the population can reach Salah al DIN, it did not pronounce. According to Adraee, this route will remain open until Friday at 12.00 local time.
On Tuesday, after the Israeli army began to its land operation in the capital and following a month of intense bombings against the population, thousands of people went to the Rashid road to try to flee the attacks. However, as during this last month, the road was saturated with vehicles and people carrying on foot with their belongings to escape.
When Efe made that same tour last Saturday, it took five hours to travel the approximately 25 kilometers that separated the beaches of Mawasi (south) from those of Ciudad de Gaza (North).
More death
The Israeli army killed on Tuesday a hundred Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, according to a provisional balance published by journalists and based on hospitals morgues; while thousands of Gazatis fled south after him.
More than 50 of those deceased arrived at the Shifa hospital, the most important of the enclave and located in the besieged city of Gaza. Among them, most were children (22) and women (21), as confirmed to Efe a source of this center.
In addition, the Israeli aerial, sea and land bombings against buildings and shops caused an avalanche of injured, with more than 150 that arrived at this hospital from different parts of the city of Gaza, detailed the same source.
Other northern hospitals such as the Baptist and Al Quds also received about thirty injured, according to this journalists disseminated, while in the center and south of the enclave the number remained at 15.
Thousands of more people fled last morning to the south of the enclave, adding to the 350,000 – around one million who were in the capital – that the Israeli army believes that they had already abandoned the city in the last month.
Another spokesman for the Israeli army, Effie Defrin, said Tuesday in a message to the press that achieving military control of the city of Gaza will take several months, and several more months “destroy it.”
Defrin insisted that the military offensive – in which about 65,000 Palestinians have already died, according to Health Gazatí – will continue until “reaching the objectives of the war” and confirmed that Israel controls “broad areas of the city of Gaza”.
For his part, he described today as “ethnic cleaning” the advance of Israeli troops in the city, which coincides with the conclusion of an INU INDEPENDENT INTERNATIONAL COMMISSION of the UN investigation that Israel is perpetrating a genocide in Gaza.
