The Civil Police to investigate the circumstances of the death of a 15-year-old who fell from a tobohage access platform at Thermas dos Laranjais water park in Olímpia (SP) on Monday afternoon (15). The case was recorded as “suspicious death.” According to the police report, Pedro Gabriel Silva de Oliveira, resident of Campos do Jordão (SP), visited the park with his family when he suffered the fall of about 13 meters, around 12h. He was rescued by a local team and sent an ambulance to Santa Casa de Olímpia, but could not resist. The body was taken to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) of Barretos, in the region.
Police requested the autopsy and requested images from the park security cameras to clarify the causes of the accident. In a statement, Thermas dos Laranjais mourned the death of the visitor, said he had first aid immediately after the incident and stated that he was offering family support. The park also said it will collaborate in full with the investigations and reinforced its commitment to the safety of visitors.
