  • The State Election Commission has decided on fines to political parties.
  • Democrats face suspicion of receiving donations of the civic association.

The State Commission for Elections and Control of Political Party funding has decided that PS violated the Political Parties Act, since in 2024 it adopted donations totaling EUR 55 from persons who do not have permanent residence in Slovakia. These were contributions from three persons from the Czech Republic of 15, 30 and ten euros.

Democrats face suspicion that at the end of 2024 they adopted EUR 100 from a civic association entitled Civic Association for the Development of Science, TechPark technology and research, This could have been violated by the law. The donations and other free of charge must not be accepted by the parties from civic associations.

The State Commission also discussed the statement of the TEAM Bratislava K at the meeting of 8 September suspected of receiving a donor of € 8,000 from a legal person based abroad. It is a legal entity of Friedrich-Numann-Stiftung (in the annual report of the party for 2024 marked as Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom), which is based in the Czech Republic. Team Bratislava received this gift in September 2024. The Commission has initiated proceedings against the party because it has adopted a gift from a legal person based abroad, which could have been violated by the Political Parties Act.

A fine of EUR 5000 was received by the non -parliamentary alternative for Slovakia For the fact that even after repeated inspections, she had no list of persons published on its website in 2024 to its activities by cash donations or membership fees whose The amount is more than twice the minimum wage, or a non -monetary gift or other free -of -charge, which is more than twice the minimum wage. The Commission also blames the party for not having announcements or lists accessible to its website for at least five years. Another fine of EUR 5000 was given to the party for not having data on loans received in 2024. These were several loans of EUR 2350, EUR 2000, EUR 6500 and EUR 7000.
