Projections in Windsor Castle and "untruth" marathon: how the United Kingdom is protesting against Trump's state visit

Last night, the “Led by Donkeys” group designed images on the walls of Windsor Castle to draw attention to Trump’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein

As it has been reported throughout the day, the British elite provided a luxurious reception to US President Donald Trump on the first full day of his state visit.

But some members of the British public do not intend to demonstrate the same courtesy.

Last night, the political campaign group “Led by Donkeys” designed images on the walls of Windsor Castle, aiming to draw attention to Trump’s relationship with convicted sexual aggressor Jeffrey Epstein.

London protests are also taking place this afternoon.

This Wednesday, precisely when Trump is expected to relax after the state banquet held in his honor, British television channel Channel 4 will convey a “uninterrupted catalog” of his “untruths and falsehoods”, aiming to give him a “totally different welcome kind,” he said.

The television marathon, entitled “Trump v the Truth” (“Trump vs. A Truth”), is scheduled to last five hours and will be broadcast in the United Kingdom. According to a channel 4 press release, the program will feature more than 100 “falsehoods, distortions and inaccuracies given or written by the US President since taking office in January.”

Ian Katz, channel 4 content director, said he expects the events of the day to “remember viewers how disorienting and dangerous the world becomes when the most powerful man on the planet shows little appreciation for the truth.”

“And if President Trump wants to watch after the state banquet, perhaps he can even clarify some misunderstandings,” added Katz.
