Adolescents and young people will have a chance to participate in training courses to join. Those who comply with or have already complied with socio -educational measures of hospitalization, hospitalization or semi -freedom may participate.
The project lasts for 19 months and is the result of a partnership between the Foundation, which is linked to the State Secretariat of Justice and Citizenship, and the United Nations Children’s Fund).
This action will add to the program after tomorrow, which has already registered until Monday (15) the adhesion of 1,348 volunteers and aims to reduce vulnerabilities and stimulate autonomy in the most critical period after the departure of the system.
In the latter, young people up to 21 years old receive help for up to six months, after the socio -educational measure, to return to school, access to public services and insertion in the world of work.
“The after tomorrow already points out real paths of transformation, and this union with UNICEF enhances this reach,” says Casa Foundation President Claudia Carletto.
“We know that graduates face huge barriers, such as low education, difficulty access to work, social stigma and risk of recurrence.”
For Adriana Alvarenga, head of the UNICEF office in São Paulo, the guarantee of adolescent rights requires a collective commitment between educators, families and society as a whole.
“Investing in the construction of life projects and training of these young people is to ensure that they have new choices, dignity and opportunities,” says Alvarenga. “The employer must also be prepared with opportunities to enter the world of work and professional development.”
