Volleyball World: Brazil loses to Serbia and expects results to advance

In the third and last round of the group stage of the Volleyball World Cup, Brazil was surpassed by Serbia 3-0 at dawn on Thursday (18), its first defeat in the competition.

With a very consistent performance, the European team defeated the team led by the coach in the partial 25/22, 25/20 and 25/22.

After the defeat, the Brazilian team falls to the 2nd place of the key, and can lose the place to the Czech Republic, which faces China, already eliminated, at 10am this Thursday.

The game

The match began very balanced, with both teams alternating in the scoreboard leadership. In the first set line, a blockade from the Miran Kujundzic pointer put the Serbs in advantage. The opposite Drazen Luburic closed the partial 25-22.

After another one -time start, two errors in Brazil’s attack made the Serbs lead the following partial for three points. The European network medium continued to stand out and expand the difference in the scoreboard. Luburic explored the Brazilian block and scored 2-0 with a 25-20 triumph.

In the third set, the entrance of the pointer Henrique Honorato gave the team a new breath, helping to balance the dispute point by point. But in the final stretch, the Serbian force prevailed again. The Pavle Perinabile pointer became decisive balls and ended as one of the highlights, with 15 points added to the score of 25 to 22, confirming the victory for 3 sets to 0.
