Making candied pumpkin It is not complicated. Just get the appropriate ingredients and follow the provision. To make this delicacy, you will need:

  • 500 g peeled and cut into smaller pieces of pumpkin (slightly larger than the target – about 3 by 3 cm) – a musk pumpkin is ideally suited, which is characterized by a harder pulp;
  • 500 g cukru;
  • 500 ml of water;
  • 30 g of powdered sugar;
  • skin and juice with 1 orange;
  • 1 Cinnamon chick.

Preparation method:

  1. In a saucepan, boil water and dissolve sugar in it. Add orange peel to the resulting syrup, squeezed juice from 1 fruit and cinnamon cane. We also place pumpkin pieces in it. We cook the whole on low heat for about 1.5-2 hours. We mix every now and then, but with due caution not to damage the pumpkin.
  2. We spread pieces of pumpkin on a baking paper lined with baking paper. We leave them for a few hours to cool. Then dry them for about 2.5 hours in an oven preheated to 80 degrees Celsius.
  3. Finally, after pulling the pumpkin from the oven and cooling it, we coat all pieces in powdered sugar. It’s best to store it in a jar.
