Venezuela performs new military exercises in the Caribbean, in response to US ships

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro gave the order to prepare in the face of an alleged threat of US invasion to force a change of government

For the second consecutive day, Venezuela performed military exercises near the Caribbean Island of La Orchila, where he unfolded navy and drones ships, as part of the preparation of his armed forces in the face of American war ships near the country’s back.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro gave the order to prepare before an alleged threat of US invasion to force a change of government. Three -day exercises include 12 military ships, 22 aircraft, amphibious vehicles, anti -aircraft defense equipment, 2,300 staff and 20 small fishing vessels operated by members of the militia – armed volunteers.

“The Sovereign Caribbean 200 ′ campaign maneuver continues,” said the country’s Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, through his Telegram channel, where he published a video that showed Sukhoi Russian manufacturing planes and landing exercises.

The Venezuelan Armed Forces “demonstrating once again that this homeland has the defending it,” the minister added. Padrino said it is necessary to “duplicate efforts” and “raise our operational preparation” in the face of a possible scenario of armed conflict at sea.
