Kärcher has been taking on ambitious challenges related to the behavior of culturally important objects for years. In the jubilee year, Kärcher teams around the world implement 90 free cleaning projects in public space – from squares and parks to historic buildings. Wrocław was in this group as one of the selected cities. Originally, the project was to include only the renewal of the Brave monument, but during talks with the Wrocław authorities the list of places quickly expanded. The Municipal Office of the Wrocław also proposed to include sculptures of Harlequin and fountains at the Puppet Theater. At this point, however, the small heroes of the city – dwarfs – could not be missing from the list.
What you may not know about us is the fact that we love dwarfs. So we decided to take care of them, refreshing them to the upcoming Wrocław Dwarf festival – says Paulina Olender, communication manager Kärcher.
This is how the initiative was formed in which monumental symbols of history meet with artistic fantasy and urban humor. On 09-11.09, residents and tourists will be able to observe how specialists Kärcher are working to refresh monuments, sculptures and fountains, as well as prepare the gnomes for their great holiday. For the city, it is an opportunity for important objects to regain its former splendor, and for the company a unique way to celebrate the jubilee through a gesture directed to the local community. At the same time, InPost as part of InPost for Cities also implements its initiative in Wrocław. Both brands join forces for residents, taking care of public space and emphasizing the importance of concern for a common surroundings.
– Today in Wrocław we join forces with Kärcher to do a fantastic thing for the residents of the Inpost for Cities partner city! This time, for our part, we organize a bicycle campaign as part of the “Give me on good habits.” We have a different gift for urban greenery. As part of the green patronage, we will give the donation to the care of existing greenery so that it can serve and enjoy its presence as long as possible – said Ariel Wojciechowski, manager for institutional relationships inPost.
The action will start on September 9 with cleaning the dwarfs, which will prepare for the Dwarf festival in this way. On September 10 and 11, the Kärcher team will take care of the next facilities – Bolesław the Brave monument, a sculpture of Harlequin and fountains at the Lalek Theater.
We are very pleased that more and more commercial entities take care of ecology and work to increase the awareness of the importance of taking care of our common environment. Green patronage is an initiative to which we encourage everyone – also natural persons – comments Marek Szempliński, spokesman for the Municipal Greenery Board of Wrocław. – “Wrocław for a flash!” We are all the more pleasing because we are just finishing the renovation of the area at the monument to Bolesław the Brave. Cleaning his and other urban facilities will definitely add shine to our beautiful city. \

Thanks to the cooperation of the city and the company, the project has become more than technical cleaning – it is a joint effort to take care of public space and remind you that concern for common good is an investment for future generations. For 90 years, Kärcher has been involved in the protection of cultural heritage around the world. The company has already collaborated in the renovation of such iconic facilities as the Statu of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro to the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.
