Spring pruning is needed to remove sick, frozen and damaged shoots. It also serves to x -ray the bushes so that they have better breathable and access to light. Thanks to this procedure, they make large and tasty fruit.
In turn, the autumn cut, falling at the end of October or November, allows plants to retire. In summer varieties (fruiting on two -year shoots), we only cut those that have already fruned. However, in these autumn (fruiting on annual shoots) we carry out a radical cut, cutting shoots right next to the ground.
The most popular are summer raspberries, i.e. Laszka and Sokolica. Fruits appear on two -year shoots, so after harvesting they should be cut regularly to make room for young shoots that will result in the next year.
Autumn raspberries, i.e. a Polish woman and a clearing, are gaining more and more popularity. In their case, we cut out whole bushes in the fall, because in the spring new shoots will grow.
