A burnt iron is a nightmare. It looks terrible, but the thought that you have to get rid of and buy new for a few hundred zlotys, does not give optimism. Especially if you have just invested in your small household appliances.

Fortunately, you don’t have to throw it away at all, because there are great tricks, thanks to which you will restore them to the perfect condition in a few minutes. Try cheap home remedies for a burnt iron, thanks to which there will be no trace of stains on the foot.

The iron is usually burned because. This can also happen due to leaving the equipment turned on too long on the fabric. Sometimes the iron is burned due to dirt on the foot, e.g. stone sediment or remains of melting materials.

To prevent the iron from burning, it is worth cleaning them regularly, avoiding leaving the hot device still and take care of its proper position during operation. Many people also recommend using distilled water, which prevents the stone’s deposition inside.

There is no single method on how to clean the burnt iron. Much depends on what material it was made, what technologies are used in it. Always disconnect them from electricity first and check the manufacturer’s recommendations. However, there are universal home remedies to clean the ironthat work in most cases.

All you have to do is use products from the kitchen cabinet:

  • baking soda for burnt iron

Baking soda should be applied to an iron, which is still warm, but not hot. Do it with a barely damp cloth and gently rub the foot with itbeing careful not to push the powder into the hole on a pair. Then you can plug them.

  • Paracetamol for burnt iron

This is not a joke, paracetamol can clean the burnt iron. Put the popular tablet to warm equipment, e.g. with tweezers and wait until it dissolves. You can also dissolve it yourself and wipe the equipment with a damp cloth.

  • Salt for a burnt iron

What about salt for a burnt iron? This is a popular method, but it should not always be used. Not suitable for Teflon devices that require gentle treatment. If your equipment is not made of this material, break down some spices on the board and take it with a warm device several times.

The problem is the stone on the iron? Mix the vinegar with water in a 1: 1 ratio, add citric acid (2 teaspoons) and a bit of warm water. Pour such liquid into a water container, when the equipment is heated to the highest temperature. The idea is to evaporate the solution and then rinse the iron. When it cools down, wipe it and it will be like new.
