In any first meeting between humans, the fact that the other person is leftist does not interfere with the attraction. But the case is different in snails…
Ned is a common New Zealand garden snail in everything normal… less in his carapace. This, instead of rolled to the most common side, is “left”, that is, wrapped on the opposite side.
It sounds like a normal condition, but Ned suffers from it: the fact that he has the left -wing carapace causes his reproductive organs to be reversed.
Now the snails are hermaphrodite animals – they have female and male reproductive organs by the head, which trigger “darts of love” to the partner’s body. These transmissions allow Passage of hormones that increase the likelihood of successful mating.
Ned’s condition is rare: affects 1 in 40,000 snails. But it prevents him from reproducing, and, in his kind, makes him lose all the attraction with his partners.
