A serious traffic accident resulted in the deaths of two children, 3 and 5, and left parents injured on Sunday morning (21), at km 21 of the AC-90 highway, the transacreana in Rio Branco.

According to witnesses, the family was heading as a motorcycle towards the relatives’ house at km 23 of the highway. On the way, the vehicle’s front tire, a Yamaha YS 150 do black, burst, causing the track to leave and the collision against a concrete pole.
With the impact, the children were unconscious and suffered cardiorespiratory arrest. The mother, Mearivan da Silva Carneiro, 23, suffered abdominal trauma and abrasions on the right leg. Already the father, Juciclei da Silva do Carmo, 25, presented fracture in the basin.
Teams from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) were called and sent basic and advanced support ambulances. However, the children could not resist and died at the scene. The couple was rescued and sent to the Rio Branco Emergency Room. Mearivan arrived in serious condition, while Juciclei had a stable picture.

The Military Police Traffic Battalion isolated the area for the expertise. After the procedures, the bodies of the victims were taken to the Forensic Medical Institute (IML).
A traffic accident report (BAT) was registered, and the motorcycle was taken from the site by a family friend.
