In Hurbanov in the Komárno district, eight new diseases for viral hepatitis types have been added last week. The total number of diseases reached 139 within four epidemics, Denisa Masárová from the Regional Office of Public Health (RÚVZ) in Komárno reported.

At present, four active epidemic outbreaks of viral hepatitis A, three of them in Hurbanov, are registered within the territorial competence of RÚVZ Komárno. Five new cases of the disease were registered in a family living in low socio-hygienic standard. Its members live at 12 different addresses in Hurbanov. In this family, a total of 95 people have become ill for viral hepatitis and a total of 95.
