Ο Ερντογάν πάει στο Οβάλ Γραφείο – Τι «ετοιμάζει» με τον Τραμπ για F-16 και F-35

The Turkish president said he would raise the issue of Israel’s “massacres” in Gaza, while expressing hope that a broader recognition of Palestinian state could speed up efforts for a two -state solution. In his statements shortly before leaving for New York, he stressed that the international community cannot remain inactive against ongoing violence.

The Turkish president has criticized the way the United Nations faces global crises.

“We see that the existing United Nations structure, which reflects the conditions 80 years ago, is not capable of fulfilling its basic missions,” he said, arguing that “especially the resolution of humanitarian crises cannot be renamed to the compassion of the countries that have been entitled to the Council of Security” United Nations, saying that “the world is larger than five”.

For his speech, Tuesday, Tuesday, from the UN Step, President Erdogan said: “I will once again emphasize our attitude at the General Assembly, which expresses the consciousness of mankind and contributes to problem solving. […] In my speech I will specifically refer to the humanitarian disaster and the atrocities in Gaza. I will also refer to Turkey’s efforts to achieve stability in the region, as well as its contribution to the preservation of international peace. “

Meetings with Trump and Sarah

During his trip to the United States, Erdogan is expected to meet with the US president to discuss issues of trade and defense industry. On the agenda is the sale of Boeing aircraft as well as resolving the dispute over the F-35 fighter aircraft program. At the same time, a meeting with the Syrian president is planned in a move that is expected to be of wider geopolitical significance.

The Turkish president said he would discuss with Donald Trump the cooperation in trade and the defense industry, while Gaza will also be on the agenda of his contacts.

As he said, he will raise issues that boost bilateral cooperation, with emphasis on trade, investment and defense industry, while regional issues will of course be in the first place on the agenda.

“The importance of close consultation and coordination between two friends and allies is becoming increasingly understandable over time,” Tayyip Erdogan said, stressing that “we have already expressed our support for Mr Trump’s world peace.”

One of the top issues on Erdogan’s Agenda in the White House are developments in both Gaza and Syria, with Ankara in the integration of the Kurdish forces there in the Syrian army.

“The preservation of peace in our region, enhancing stability and ending conflict and tension is a great responsibility for us leaders. From the first day, we have always worked with this perception. We tried to offer solutions to problems through diplomacy and dialogue. We keep the same attitude.

»We wish to completely stop the bloodshed and tears in our area and to prevail peace and tranquility in every square meter. Whatever we do, we do it solely for this purpose. We hope to continue in this way, “the Turkish president said.

Boeing deals and Lockheed Martin

According to Bloomberg, Turkey is considering ordering 250 Boeing aircraft from Boeing as well as new F-16s from Lockheed Martin. The agreements are expected to go ahead after the Erdogan-Trump meeting, if the long-term crisis around the F-35 program is resolved.

Boeing negotiations with Turkish Airlines

Boeing has already set the framework of the deal with Turkish Airlines, although there has not yet been a final agreement. As Yahya üstün’s spokesman said, “negotiations with Boeing have been last long, but a definitive decision has not yet been made.” It is estimated, however, that official announcements will be made in the context of bilateral contacts, possibly during the Turkish President’s visit to the White House.
