In the late afternoon of Monday (22), the capital and metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte were hit by a storm that brought several disorders.
The arrival of spring brought wind and heavy rain to Minas Gerais. According to the Minas Gerais Fire Department (CBMMG), the storm that reached part of the state caused tree falls, electricity cuts and details.
The corporation reported that at a break of 12h they received 62 calls related to tree fall, 50 of them falling on public roads, 9 on vehicles and 3 over residences.
There was no record of injuries.
The storm arrived after the hottest day of the year. According to Inmet, thermometers in the capital of Minas Gerais registered 34.9 ° C at Pampulha station.
According to the Civil Defense, the winds reached 95km/h accompanied by heavy rain and lightning.
The gale eventually hit the power grid in several neighborhoods of the capital.
According to Cemig, there was a lack of energy in the neighborhoods of the regions of Pampulha and northwest of the capital. In addition, residents of Contagem, Betim and Santa Luzia were also without light. About 300 employees worked all dawn to reestablish energy.
