Arrival of Spring is marked by storm in Minas Gerais

The storm arrived after the hottest day of the year. According to Inmet, thermometers in the capital of Minas Gerais registered 34.9 ° C at Pampulha station.

According to the Civil Defense, the winds reached 95km/h accompanied by heavy rain and lightning.

The gale eventually hit the power grid in several neighborhoods of the capital.

According to Cemig, there was a lack of energy in the neighborhoods of the regions of Pampulha and northwest of the capital. In addition, residents of Contagem, Betim and Santa Luzia were also without light. About 300 employees worked all dawn to reestablish energy.
