Misael was sentenced to 31 years of imprisonment and Raygpers for 42 years, both in closed regime. They were considered guilty of double -qualified homicide crimes, threat and participation in criminal organization. The acquittal occurred only in relation to the accusation of corruption of minors.

According to the complaint of the Public Prosecution Service of Acre (MPAC), the convicts, accompanied by a teenager and other unidentified cronies, invaded the victim’s residence. At the scene were also his wife, young children and Yuri’s grandmother. Armed, the criminals threatened the family and forced the victim to leave the bathroom, where he tried to hide, shot him before their relatives. After the crime, family members were expelled from the neighborhood.

The investigations pointed out that the action was motivated by dispute between criminal factions. Members of the Red Command believed that Yuri would be passing on information to a rival group. However, no evidence was found that he had criminal records or bonds with criminal organizations.

Prosecutor Carlos Pescador highlighted the agility of the process. “In just 11 months it was possible to achieve the final resolution of the case, with the accountability of those involved and the realization of justice in a fast time,” he said.
