The São Paulo City Council will pay R $ 452 thousand for one between the 20th and 28th of this month.
The amount includes R $ 129.1 thousand with plane tickets and another R $ 323,400 paid to the Investe SP Agency, which will be responsible for scheduling meetings, support in internal logistics (hosting and internal transport), translation and monitoring of the delegation, among other services.
The delegation is composed by councilors João Jorge (MDB), Hélio Rodrigues (PT), Milton Ferreira (Somos), Major Palumbo (PP), Fabio Riva (MDB) and Carlos Bezerra (PSD).
The trip came from an invitation from the China Consulate in the state capital for all councilors, who defined the members of the entourage according to the largest benches of the Chamber.
Parliamentarians must pass through the cities of Shanghai, Hangzhou and Shenzhen.
The reason for the trip, according to the board of directors of the house, is to address relevant topics for the city, such as the electrification of the bus fleet, job creation, renewable energy, recycling, waste management and emergency care in metropolises.
“These are topics that were dealt with by the mission of the City Hall and which compete for councilors to deepen to be able, as well as the executive, propose public policies and oversee the actions of the municipality,” says the House, in a statement.
The house says it has opted for Investsp for its expertise in organizing trips of this type and having an office in China. “It is the same agency that was hired by the city to organize recent official mission to the same destination, in the same way and format.”
On Monday (22), the councilors went to a technology company that presented their program with the use of autonomous drones and strollers, directed by artificial intelligence, to optimize the process of delivery in cities.
The entourage also visited support and rest points for goods.
The House says that, like the City Hall, the judiciary and other legislative houses, it has the role of performing exchanges that help support the performance of councilors.
“Very often the São Paulo City Council receives entourage from other countries, which reinforces that this exchange is natural, especially when it comes to the largest city in Latin America and one of the largest in the world,” says the note.
