The minister of the (Supreme Court), said on Thursday (25) that the Court preserved Brazilian democracy and was thrilled to thank the support of colleagues over the last two years, in which he has been in charge of the court. According to him, the ministers courageously defend Brazilian democracy.
“I would like to thank all the ministers, colleagues and friends here of the Supreme, for the partnership, support, courage and the constructive and harmonious relationship we had. I am very proud to have divided with everyone the adventure of defending Brazilian democracy,” he said.
This is the last session of the magistrate as president of the judiciary.
According to Barroso, since the 1988 Constitution, there have been no missing, tortured, or compulsory pensions, in reference to violations in the military dictatorship, and there is freedom of the press, but there is a cost to ministers for work.

“Two years ago, after we have crossed a dark and dark period, whose culmination was an infamous episode from January 8, I said, Minister Barroso, that the inauguration of your excellence as president of this Court made the certainty that the Supreme had survived,” said Gilmar.
