Garbage segregation in Poland is still evolving, and local governments are increasingly focusing on solutions that are to increase the level of recycling. From 2026, the inhabitants of one of the municipalities will have to get used to the new division of bio -pads.
Until recently, the answer was simple: to “confused”. Meanwhile, from January 1, 2026, in the Nowe Miasto commune on the Warta, regulations that change this habit come into force. Used tissues and kitchen tanks will go to containers on kitchen bio -daddies. Why? It’s simple – most of them are biodegradable and can be composting or used to produce biogas. Thanks to this, they will no longer pollute other waste fractions, such as plastic or glass, which will facilitate recycling.

In the New Town on the Warta Bioodpads, they will be divided into two categories:
- green waste – grass, leaves, branches or flowers. They will be collected in large, 240-liter baskets delivered to residents.
- kitchen waste – That is, food remains, peeles, coffee coffee grounds, as well as the mentioned wipes and paper towels. For their collection, smaller 80-liter baskets with the inscription “BIO” will be intended.
Importantly, residents must buy baskets for kitchen waste themselves and this by the end of 2025 at the latest.
