Federal Deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) used social networks on Wednesday, 24, to criticize the unanimous decision of the Federal Senate Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ) to reject the Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC) of prerogatives, known as the “PEC of armor”. He classified rejection as an impediment to the creation of guarantees and made harsh criticism of the Brazilian judiciary.

“The PEC that the Senate buried was trying to create mechanisms of protection against the exception regime implemented by a corrupt and equipped judiciary. Armage already exists, for corrupt, cronies and accomplices of the regime agents in the judiciary,” wrote Eduardo Bolsonaro.

The deputy also criticized the judiciary, stating that “it only goes to the parliamentary chain that dares to think differently from the far left dogmas in power. Corrupt parliamentary enjoys all the shields that its crops in power allow,” he criticized in reference to the recent conviction of former President Jair Bolsonaro for the first class of the Supreme Court (STF) for leading criminal organization and attempting to abolish the state Democratic of law.

Currently in the United States and the target of investigation by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), Eduardo blamed governors and senators for the rejection of PEC. “Senators and governors who prevented the creation of minimal guarantees against the exception regime are complanted servants of the tyrants.”

“You are disconnected from the people, embarked on the Globo narrative and impressed with artist doing a micareta on the street. They chose to keep the unlimited powers of the unhealthy bureaucracy, for pure politicians,” the parliamentarian concluded.

Despite the demonstration of Bolsonaro’s son, allies of the former president convicted voted against PEC. Within the CCJ, the former Minister of Regional Development in the Bolsonaro Government Rogério Marinho was one of those who rejected the amendment proposal. In all, 26 parliamentarians of the commission were opposed to the PEC of the armor.

“I believe they were wrong in the dosage, and the drug, when it is excessive, ends up being poison,” said Marinho during the session, criticizing the inclusion of the secret vote in PEC to authorize lawsuits against parliamentarians.

The proposal had been approved by the House of Representatives last week, but is now buried. PEC da Armagem provided, among other points, to condition the opening of criminal actions against parliamentarians reported to the Supreme Court to the prior authorization of the House and Senate.

According to the text, the two legislative houses would have up to three months to decide whether or not to authorize the investigation. After this period, the process would automatically follow, although there was fear of delaying maneuvers.

As Estadão showed, if the rule was in force, 36 inquiries underway in the Supreme Court against 108 parliamentarians could have been locked, as these cases could only become criminal actions with prior authorization from the National Congress.

Since the approval of the proposal in the House, the population has shown discontent with PEC. Then deputies began publishing videos expressing regret in the vote in favor of the proposal.

Last weekend, thousands of people took to the streets in 30 cities in Brazil to speak out against the PEC and the Amnesty Bill those involved in the undemocratic acts of January 8, 2023.
