Minister considered that there is no need to maintain restriction on the former consisting accounts after his conviction
Minister Alexandre de Moraes, from (Supreme Federal Court), revoked on Thursday (25.Set.2025) the blockade of the profiles of former federal deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP). The decision considered that, after the congressman was sentenced to 10 years in prison, there would be no need to maintain the blockade of the accounts.
Zambelli was convicted of the 1st class of the Supreme Court on 19.MAI.2025, for trying to invade the telephone system of the (National Council of Justice). She became 2 months on the run from Brazilian justice and, on 29.Jul.2025, was arrested by the police of Italy, where she awaits the extradition process.
In determining the return of the former consisting profiles, Moraes considered that “There is no need to maintain the determined blockages on social networks, and should only be excluded the illicit posts that have caused the court decision”.
According to the minister, Zambelli used his accounts on social networks to propagate disinformation and hate speeches against the Democratic Rule of Law. Read the decision at (PDF – 179kb).
The decision resumes the profiles of the former consisting on 8 social networks, such as Youtube, Telegram, X, Instagram, among others. However, if the profiles share content considered unlawful by the Supreme Court, a daily fine of $ 20,000 will be set.
Coercion attempt
The revocation of the blockages came 6 days after the sending of the (Federal Police), which concluded that Zambelli’s escape to Italy did not serve to coerce the judgment of the STF coup plan.
The investigation sought to ascertain whether, by fleeing to Italy, Carla Zambelli sought “Create obstacles to the progress of court proceedings in the Supreme Court”. In case of case, licensed federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) was indicted on 20.2025, for trying to coerce the judgment of the coup plan report, which condemned former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) to 27 years and 3 months in prison.

On 28.ago.2025, the former consisting was sentenced for the second time by the court plenary, to 5 years in prison for illegal firearm crimes and illegal embarrassment.
