The governor of Sao Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), said on Wednesday, 24, that the conversation between President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) and the president of the United States, Donald Trump, “should have happened” and that both are being pressured internally for the negotiation to occur.

He assessed that the measures represent a symptom of disconnect in relation to popular will.
