The Council of the Prosecutors of the Slovak Republic expressed his support to prosecutor Monika Brodanská, who worked in the case of a claim for conditional release of convicted Mikuláš Černák. In its Thursday statement, the Council condemned personal attacks on prosecutors to create pressure on the performance of their work. TASR informed its chairman Stanislav Jakubčík.
“The Council of the Prosecutors repeatedly and strongly appeals to the fact that the parties to the criminal proceedings comply with the principles of substantive argumentation and professional ethics,” the Council said. As she added, the public statements against the prosecutor of Brodanská were recorded by the Council of Černák’s advocates.
Mikuláš Černák, the former boss of the Banská Bystrica underworld, remains in prison. The decision of the Senate of the Trnava District Court on the proposals for conditional release of Černák is not valid. The defense filed a complaint decided by the Regional Court.
