The National Police identifies 20 years later to ‘The Woman of Rosa’, found dead in Spain in 2005 | Spain

On July 3, 2005, a taxi driver found a woman’s body on the Viladecans road, in the province of Barcelona. She was a woman with blue eyes and brown hair, cool and wavy. He had been dead less than 24 hours and the cause of death was suspicious. He wore a pink complex: fuchsia pants, a pink blouse with black and pink flower and pink sandals. This case, which tries to solve the cases of 46 dead women without identifying. Later, the Russian authorities collated the genetic profile of the victim with that of a deceased sister.

The Secretary General of Interpol, Valdecy Urquiza, has congratulated the Spanish, Turkish and Russian authorities “for working together in this case.” Urquiza has assured that this identification, in addition to providing “justice and closing to the families and friends of the deceased people” also “reinforces international cooperation and trust in forensic research.” Research on how his death took place continues to be carried out.

First case resolved

The National Police spokeswoman, Elisa Rebolo, has confirmed the results of the action and recalled that “it is the second case identified by National Police agents in Spain.” The first was resolved in March of this year, when it was possible to identify the body of a woman from Paraguay who was found in Sant Juliá de Ramis (Girona) in August 2018.
