The United States reviews another tenth up to 0.9%, its growth in the second quarter | Economy

The US economy grew 0.9% in the second quarter, a tenth than what was predicted so far and two more. That means that in (comparing it with the same quarter of 2024) the first power expanded 3.8%, half a point more than in the previous calculation, according to the review published on Thursday the Office of Economic Analysis of the Department of Commerce.

The data of the second quarter contrasts with the contraction of 0.6% who lived the largest world economy, a fact that has now also been reviewed a tenth rise.

The agency ensures that the best performance between April and June is due to internal consumption and import reduction. On the one hand, it rose 2.5% in the period, which represents a nine tenth rise with respect to the previous reading. On the other, purchases abroad fell 29.3% in annual terms. Exports were also reduced, but only 1.8%, a fact that has been recalulated five tenths in the midst of the tariff war unleashed by Washington.

The review of this Thursday has also reached investment rates, which retreated between April and June 13.8%, two points less than calculated in August data review. Meanwhile, public spending contracted 0.1%, a tenth less than the estimate made the previous month.

From the, the increase in real GDP reflected 10.2% increases in the real added value for private goods producing and 3.5% percent for private services producing industries.

The review of this Thursday is the second, already a definitive priori, made by the US government on its growth in the second quarter. In July, when the preliminary data was spread, a 0.7%growth was estimated. In the first review of that data, already in August, it is raised that percentage to 0.8% and finally has now been set at 0.9%.
