Opposition Progressive Slovakia (PS) is moving the announced Friday (26 9th) negotiations with partners on the joint action in protests and the General strike of 17 November. The reason is the planned vote of the plenary of the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic on the amendment to the Constitution. TASR informed Alena Kuišová on Thursday.
“The fundamental vote on the amendment to the Constitution of the Slovak Republic should take place after another non -standard decision of the government coalition on Friday afternoon, ie at the same time when the announced round table was to be held.. We also want to thank all the invitations for positive reactions and interest in participating in our discussion, as well as for understanding for the operational change of its date, ”said Kuišová. The alternative date has not yet been announced by the movement.
The round table wanted to organize the movement for disagreements between opposition parties in the form of a protest on 17 November. SaS plans to organize a general strike, which KDH does not agree. The parliamentarians were originally supposed to vote on the amendment to the Constitution on Thursday. Several legislators entered the third reading. Therefore, the President of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Richard Raši (Voice-SD) pushed the vote for the next negotiating day.
