US GDP (Gross Domestic Product) advanced 3.8% in the 2nd quarter of 2025. The data were released on Thursday (25.Set.2025)o (Bureau of Economic Analysis). Here A (PDF – 242 KB).
The rate represents a variation of 4.4 percentage points upwards from the 1st quarter (-0.6). The result reviews the 2nd estimate, whose rate 3.3%, and therefore accelerated 0.3 percentage point compared to the 1st estimate, which 3.0%.
In view of the same period of the previous year, the variation presented was 0.8 percentage point. At the time, the reading of 3.0%.
The increase in GDP has mainly reflected a drop in imports, which are a subtraction in the calculation of GDP, and an increase in consumer spending. These movements were partially compensated for falling investment and exports.
