At least 14 people died in a traffic accident in southern Peru, involving a minivan of a Bolivian music group and two cargo trucks on a highway on Wednesday (24), according to local media and police reports.
The accident occurred on Wednesday night, near an intense and poorly visible traffic area. Preliminary investigations suggest that the minivan collided with a truck, while a third parked vehicle with heavy machinery obstructed the road, reported local media vehicles.
Emergency services recovered the bodies and transported the injured to nearby health posts.
The case is still under investigation, with police holding the truck driver and working to identify all victims and determine the exact cause of the collision.
