PL leader says he visits Bolsonaro and Tarcisio will not be about presidential elections
The national president of the PL, was on Thursday (25) with former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), who meets home pre-trial detention in Brasilia. The party leader said that he will not attend the meeting scheduled for next Monday (29), when the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, should visit.
In a statement sent to reporter Misael Mainetti da Young PanValdemar said: “I will not participate, I have been with Bolsonaro today, will not decide anything now. He has a chance to be a candidate.” The leader stressed that, despite Bolsonaro’s current legal situation, there is no definitive impediment to a possible candidacy.
According to him, the trajectory of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva serves as a reference, since the petista was arrested and today occupies the Planalto Palace. Valdemar stressed that the party will continue alongside Bolsonaro and that any decision on 2026 will be made at the right time.
