Gladson inaugurates new headquarters of IMAC, the largest public building in the environment in the north

Governor Gladson Cameli delivered this Friday (26) the new headquarters of the Acre Environment Institute (IMAC). The ceremony, held in the Portal da Amazônia neighborhood, was attended by several authorities.

With a built area of ​​3,617.49 m², the new IMAC building is divided into ground floor and two upper floors, totaling 41 rooms that aim to improve the institute’s administrative and operational efficiency. Located on Avenida Paulo Lemos de Moura, next to Cieps, the building was designed to meet the growing demands in environmental management and sustainable development in the region.

IMAC holder André Hassem said that the achievement is a milestone in the institution’s history, as the building is the largest in the state, between secretariats and municipalities.

“IMAC will complete this year 39 years of existence. And IMAC has been over the years in the center, too tight, increasing the contingent, the state has grown, developed both investments and now seeing agribusiness in a sustainable way. And we stayed there in that place. With us. And, together with the governor, today we are delivering the largest headquarters in the northern region, including municipalities and environmental secretariats, ”said the secretary.

“This is a dream, a place that is fit and ready. In addition to serving our servers, we also serve the general population, our entrepreneurs, our farmers, who is the fundamental focus of our government; and with that, we are here with headquarters today to receive everyone who arrive,” he added.

During the inauguration, Gladson emphasized the importance of IMAC in promoting effective environmental policies and the protection of Acre’s natural resources.

“The new headquarters represents a significant advance in the infrastructure of the agency, which plays a crucial role in the conservation of the rich Amazonian biodiversity. With this new structure, the government expects not only to optimize services provided to the population, but also strengthen the performance of IMAC in environmental issues, promoting more integrated and efficient management. Governor.

The total investment is R $ 8.8 million, being R $ 5.3 million from the Inter -American Development Bank (IDB), through the Acre Phase II Sustainable Development Program (PDSA), and R $ 3.5 million from the State Treasury.
