The Israeli army places speakers to retransmit in Gaza Netyahu’s speech in the UN Assembly
The speech of the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamín Netanyahu, in the UN General Assembly will be broadcast live this Friday through speakers throughout the strip in Gaza, according to several Israeli media by citing army sources. The speech is expected to begin at 16.00 (Israeli time, 15.00 in peninsular Spain). According to the Israeli leader himself, in his speech he will tell “the truth of Israel” and will counteract the many speeches in favor of a Palestinian state.
The Times of Israel explains that the prime minister’s office has given orders to the army to place the Palestinian Enclave speakers to retransmit the live speech. The Israeli television chain Channel 12 adds that the army has put pegas to the order, because it implies that many soldiers leave their positions to place the speakers and introduce themselves into areas where they could be victims of Hamas attacks. “It’s crazy,” the Haaretz newspaper quotes a high -ranking officer. “People completely the political spectrum wonders ‘What madness is this?’
Another source cited by this newspaper, of progressive tendency, affirms that it is a measure of psychological war and that, despite the opposition, the army will not contradict the orders of the prime minister and is preparing the broadcast.
Itay Blumental, a military correspondent for the Kan television chain has published a message in X in which a military truck is seen with speakers in which he writes: “soldiers of the 99th division prepare to reproduce the speech of Netanyahu, via speakers.” In another message he adds that the operation has been baptized as “the cry” and that, asked about the matter, the army declines to comment.
