Manipulation of immune cells pushes anti-blood cancer effect

Today, many affected people can be treated well with immune cells, which are specially trained for attacks on blood cancer. However, after a while, some cancer cells escape the attack of so-called Car-T cells. With a new method for a thousand times manipulation of the immune cells using gene scissors, the same can be improved significantly, report Viennese researchers in the specialist journal Nature. To do this, supposedly important genes must be removed.
