The singer published one in her on the night of Thursday (25.Set.2025) to explain the meaning of the shadower used by the artist, from the Bahian group that develops works linked to Afro-Brazilian aesthetics and culture.

Veko’s participation holding the umbrella caused criticism on social networks. Many people reproduced images of Wagner speaking under the shadow and said they were a black man holding an umbrella to protect a white.

In the video in which he responds to criticism, Daniela Mercury stated that Veko “It is Bahia’s heritage, the assets of the Afro procession.” And added: “Veko’s shadower means just the opposite of what they tried to talk about. Veko receives the guests who take the stage during rehearsals and parades in the morning in the afternoon.”.
The singer also said that “Veko’s shadower is a symbol of resistance, the force of Afro-Brazilian culture, the beauty of the black people. Being under it is an honor, a blessing of mother Santinha Oyá”.
Veko on social networks about comments. “Just for the unsuspecting, clueless and the like: when I put people under the shadow, I don’t represent a black man who protects ‘white’. The scorch of the Afro procession has another connotation.”wrote the artist.
