Bank resumes sponsorship to the audiovisual sector after 9 years, supported by 25 productions that debut in 2026; Registration is open until October 27th
The (National Bank for Economic and Social Development) launched this Friday (26.Set.2025) one of R $ 15 million to finance 25 Brazilian cinematic productions.
Each project will receive up to R $ 600 thousand, with the requirement of screening in movie theaters or streaming platforms from January to December 2026. Registration is open until October 27th.
According to the Federal Development Bank, from 1995 to 2017, more than 400 films were supported, with an investment of over R $ 600 million in updated values.
The public call covers 5 categories: commercial fiction, authorial fiction, documentary, animation and selected at festivals. The last search expand the international visibility of national productions.
In addition to the selection, the institution maintains a credit line by the (audiovisual sector fund), in partnership with the (National Cinema Agency) and the Ministry of Culture.
The project selection criteria and the composition of the judging committee will still be disclosed.
