Collision between motorcycle and bicycle leaves young man injured on BR-364, in Rio Branco

Cyclist João Victor Aquino, 22, was injured on Friday night (26) after being hit by a motorcycle on BR-364, in front of the Acre Hospital Foundation (Fundhacre) in Rio Branco.

According to information, the 19 -year -old motorcyclist Samuel da Costa was driving in a blue Honda CB300 Twister in the Tucumã neighborhood, when he advanced his open traffic light and was surprised by the cyclist crossing the road. On impact, the two young people were thrown to the ground.

The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was triggered and sent two ambulances, including one advanced support. João Victor received first aid at the scene and was then sent to the FRANCO SILVA Emergency Care Unit (UPA), in Baixada da Sobral. He suffered a head cut and abrasions on his body, but his health is considered stable.

Samuel da Costa suffered a cut on his left arm and light abrasions. He refused medical attention and remained at the scene of the accident.

The Federal Highway Police (PRF) attended the scene, isolated the area and performed the expertise to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
