The municipality of Tavira announced that the San Francisco Fair runs from October 2 to 5, in the Park of Fairs and Exhibitions, with “a diversified program that combines music, tradition and animation”. The opening hours will be on the 2nd from 18:00 to 01:00, on days 3 and 4 from 12:00 to 02:00 and on the 5th from 12:00 to 01:00.
According to the municipality, “Musical Animation with local and regional projects, Zé Amaro and Ruth Marlene, known to the national landscape of light/popular music, guarantee moments of great joy and fun”. Singer Luís Guilherme also includes the event’s poster, which promises “constant animation over the four days”.
The program opens on the 2nd at 21:00, in Pavilion B, with the performance of the Cultural and Recreational Association of Luz Tavira – Tuna. At 22:00, on the stage of Central Square, Luís Guilherme plays the themes of Marco Paulo and at 23:30 Silvino Campos animates Pavilion B.
On the 3rd, at 21:00, the Folkloric Ranch of Tavira operates in Pavilion B. It follows, at 22:00, Zé Amaro on the stage of Central Square and at 23:30 Cristiano Martins brings music to Pavilion B.
Day 4 starts at 5:00 pm, in Pavilion B, with the “Searas de Autumn” Cachopo Singing Group, followed by 19:00 the Side by Side Project Group and at 21:00 the Folkloric Ranch of Santo Estêvão. At 22:00, on the stage of Central Square, Ruth Marlene acts and at 23:30 Pavilion B receives Valter and Canary.
On the 5th, at 17:00, Pavilion B welcomes the Pearls of Gilão – Soamtt and at 19:00 the Folkloric Ranch of Light of Tavira. At 8:30 pm, on the stage of the central square, the stage is the D ‘Dance Cia and the Tavira Academy of Music Dance.
The municipality stresses that “the circus and the ferris wheel are present again”, as well as “other amusements for adrenaline and emotion lovers”. The fair also has a restoration zone, street vendors and “space for the promotion of official entities and companies”.
According to, “ATM boxes will be available in the enclosure, which has the usual safety.”
To facilitate travel, “Tavira City Council provides municipal transport to citizens”.
