One of the latest non -held wounds of American society is the so -called. Epstein files – Thousands of pages of documents revealing the links of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein to political, business and academic elites. Epstein, a convicted sexual predator who faced accusations of trading with minors before his death, has built a network of contacts reaching for the highest strata of American power for many years.
As he reports, the Democrats in the US also published other parts of documents, featuring names like Elon Musk, Prince Andrew, or Steve Bannon. While some revelations are surprised, others – for example, the link of Prince Andrew with Epstein – have been expected for a long time. The situation is also exacerbated by the fact that Trump’s administration, which promised in the campaign, is now silent and refuses to make it available.
The last days have also been revealed to Trump’s closer relationship with Epstein apparently closer than it seemed. In recently published Epstein’s inventory documents, a document called birthday bookin which there is a letter allegedly written by Donald Trump (with a drawing of a naked girl). Trump strongly rejected such a charge and sued the publisher for $ 10 billion.
Muskova Invitation and Prince Flights
Recent records reveal that the Epstein network goes to today’s technology billionaires and a member of the British royal family. In December 2014, information about Elon Musk’s invitation to Epstein’s private island appears. Musk had admitted in the past that he had received the invitation, but he insisted that he refused him.
Prince Andrew is mentioned in documents from New Jersey to Florida in May 2000, where he was on board along with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, according to the manifesto. She was later convicted of complicity in trading with minor girls. There are also records of payments for “Andrew massage”, although it is not clear whether they are actually concerned by a member of the royal family.
Bannon, Thiel a Gates
Other names of well -known personalities also got into Epstein’s plans. In 2017, he was scheduled for lunch with Peter Thiel, billionaire and co -founder of PayPal, one of the most influential investors in Silicon Valley. Two years later, Epstein planned breakfast with Steve Bannon, former main strategist Donald Trump and one of the key characters of the American far right.
Documents also suggest a possible joint meeting with Bill Gates in December 2014. Gates later admitted in an interview with the BBC that contact with Epstein was a “mistake” he regrets. These examples also show that Epstein has been able to penetrate the highest circles of science, policies and technology business.
Political struggle for writings
The revelations come when US policy is in a sharp dispute over what it is and what should not be published. Democrats say that the public has the right to know the entire background of the Epstein network and that this is an important step towards justice for the victims.
However, the Republicans criticize the opposition’s progress as politically motivated. They claim that the disclosure of documents is to weaken Trump and its surroundings than to help the victims. They promise to come up with a complete package of files, but have not yet shown a specific time plan.
Unanswered questions
Although the documents themselves do not show that all of them know about Epstein’s crimes, their names in the writings raise tremendous attention. Each new mention underlines how wide and influential the circle of Epstein’s acquaintances.
The question is why his activities remained unnoticed for so long. And especially – who will still appear in other documents?
