The Afghan government released American Amir Amiri. The step followed the negotiations between the US and the Taliban mediated by Qatar.
The Afghan government led by the Taliban Government announced on Sunday that it was released to the freedom of the detained American citizen, reports TASR according to AFP and AP reports.
Representatives of the Afghan Foreign Ministry of Foreign Affairs identified the dismissed American as Amir Amiri, who, according to the statement, handed over to the US special ambassador for the detained persons of Adam Boeler.

The AP states that information on where, why and when amiri was detained were not immediately known.
Earlier this month, Boehler arrived for an unexpected visit to Kabul for negotiations on the possibility of exchange of prisoners with the Taliban government, recalls AFP.
“The Afghan Islamic Emirate released today from prison by an American citizen named Amir Amiri,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the Platform X.
Diplomatic way of solution
“The Afghan government does not look at the problems of citizens from a political point of view and clearly shows that there are ways of solving problems with a diplomatic way,” the ministry added.
The Taliban also released an older British couple, Petr Reynolds (80) and his wife Barbie (76) from Kabul on 20 September. They spent almost eight months in custody.
The Afghan government announced that both dismissal was mediated by Qatar.
