At least one person has died and ten more have resulted wounds a shooting that occurred this morning in a church in Grand Blancon the outskirts of the town of Flint, in the American state of Michigan (USA). The Christian temple would be in flames.

Among the victims there is a deceased person and two more people in critical condition, according to the Grand Blanc Police Department, which has also confirmed that the shooter has also died.

“There has been an active shooter in the Church of the Saints of the last days of McCandlish Street. There are several victims and the shooter has been dejected. There is no threat to the population at this time,” the police published at first on its Facebook page.

The governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer, stressed that any type of violence is “unacceptable” after knowing about the incident. “My heart is broken by the Grand Blanc community,” Whitmer published in X.

The town of Flint is known for appearing in several documentaries of the filmmaker Michael Moore, such as ‘Bowling for Columbine’, ‘Fahrenheit 9/11’ and in particular ‘Roger & Me’, which reflects the decline of the automotive industry of this region of the United States. Moore himself is originally from Flint.
