“I am very embarrassed,” said Aceino Freitas, Popó, after the widespread fight that broke out in the ring shortly after his victory over Wanderlei Silva, for disqualification, on an exhibition early in the early hours of Sunday (28). The former boxer, however, attributes the confusion to the opponent’s corner.
The two participated in an event sponsored by the Spaten beer brand, and should compete for up to eight rounds. The clash ended in the fourth round when Pride’s former pride was punished with a third point for trying to hit the opponent with heads.

Popó agreed to participate in the event only near the date of its realization, after Vitor Belfort, another former fighter, to have to give up due to a bruise. Looking forward, however, the former boxer says he will not know if he will follow his next commitment.
“I have a fight on November 1st, I don’t know what I’m going to do. I’ll think a little, talk to my family. Treat my injuries, I’m hurt, my hand,” he said. The event scheduled for the date will be with Diego Alemão, former champion of the BBB reality show, in the seventh edition of the Fight Music Show, at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in São Paulo.
