Russia attacks Ukraine with drones and missiles in the biggest offensive since the beginning of the war

At least four people died and dozens were injured on Sunday morning, 28 (local time), after the largest Russian offensive against Ukraine since the beginning of the war, according to Ukrainian officials. Among the dead is a 12 -year -old girl.

According to the Ukrainian army, Russia launched 595 drones and 48 missiles at night and the air defenses slaughtered 568 drones and 43 missiles. The main target of the attack was the capital Kiev.

The bombing began on Saturday night and followed until after Sunday dawn. Residential buildings, a medical center and a kindergarten were hit. Fires in various parts of the country were recorded during bombing. The guidance is that residents remain in shelters.

Prior to the last attacks, the Ukrainian President announced that Kiev had received US -made Patriot Air Defense missiles from Israel to protect himself from Russian raids. Residents recorded one of these missiles on the streets of Kiev.

According to the Reuters news agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense said on Sunday that it performed a “massive” attack on Ukraine using long -range and drones air weapons to reach military infrastructure, including aviation fields.

Moscow denied having attacked civilians in his war against Ukraine, although thousands were killed and residential areas were damaged by the attacks.
