‘There is no motocyte, there is an educator walk’, says Lula at the 95th anniversary event of MEC

President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva participated on Sunday morning, 29, in honor of the 95th anniversary of the Ministry of Education. After ending the 3 -kilometer circuit on the Esplanade, Lula highlighted the “Revolution in Education” and said, in reference to the event, that “it has no motocyte, it has no pornochanchada”, but “Walk of Educators”.

The president walked the terrace alongside the first lady, Janja da Silva, the Ministers of Education, Camilo Santana, Health, Alexandre Padilha, Institutional Relations, Gleisi Hoffman, and Farm Fernando Haddad. Central Bank President Gabriel Galipolo also attended the event.

Lula was part of the circuit using the “Brazil is from Brazilians” cap, amid preparation for a meeting between him and the president of the United States, Donald Trump. At the end of the walk, Lula received a medal, dedicated to “all teachers”, and raised the event trophy, playing: “Where’s champagne?”, In reference to the celebrations of Formula 1.
