United States officials monitor two storms that may impact the American coast this week. Humberto hurricane and nine tropical depression move in the Atlantic Ocean and, although they should not touch the American soil, should have their effects felt in the US, with strong rains and winds.

Hurricane Humberto was classified in category five, the highest of the Saffir Simpson scale on Saturday, but lost strength and fell to category four on Sunday. However, the storm is not a direct threat to the United States, as it should turn to the east from tomorrow and distance itself from the American coast, according to CNN.

The nine tropical depression should gain strength and turn into the immella tropical storm, but the projection is to be pulled away from the American coast by the Humberto Hurricane. “Although it is too early to feel extremely confident, almost all reliable forecast models keep the system southeast of the United States, although some impacts are still expected,” said the United States Hurricane Center on Sunday.

The most intense rains are expected to be seen in eastern Florida and the American states of Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina by Wednesday. Outside the US, the Bahamas should be strongly impacted, with the forecast of rains that can cause floods quickly.

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster stated a state of emergency on Friday and mobilized authorities to prepare for winds, rainfall and flooding throughout the state.
