Brazilian gymnasts end Hungary competition with five podiums

The weekend in the city of Szombathely, Hungary, was productive for Brazilian artistic gymnastics. The local stage of the World Challenge Cup ended on Sunday (28) with five medals for Brazil, four being won today.

The competition is part of the preparation for the World Cup, which will be played from October 19 in Indonesia.

The best result of the country in the Szombathely stage came with Flávia Saraiva. This Sunday, she took the gold in the equilibrium crossbar with grade 13,800.

Also this Sunday, Brazil got a double of Júlia in the soil race. Julia Soares added 12,550 and got the silver. Already Julia Coutinho, only 15 years old, made 12,250 and got the bronze.

Closing Sunday, Caio Souza won the silver in the parallel bars with the 14,150 grade.

The day before, Ana Luiza Lima took the bronze in the asymmetrical bars, opening Brazil’s medals count in Hungary. It was the first podium of the 20 -year -old gymnast in international competitions.
