The minister of the (Supreme Federal Court) decided on Monday (29) to follow the criminal case against (PL-SP) without personal notification.
The deputy is in the United States and, according to Moraes, has created difficulties to be notified by the Brazilian court about the coercion report presented by the PGR (Attorney General’s Office).
“In addition to stating, expressly, that it is in foreign territory to steal itself to the application of criminal law, the science is also unequivocal, by the accused Eduardo Nantes Bolsonaro, about the conduct imputed to him in the complaint offered in these records, which also manifested itself by means of a note released on social network X (former Twitter),” Moraes says in the decision.
Eduardo’s notification will be made by public notice, with the official communication of the complaint published in any public communication vehicle. The deputy will have 15 days to present his prior defense in the case.
Journalist Paulo Figueiredo was also accused by PGR for acting in the United States in search of sanctions against Brazilian authorities for the advancement of lawsuits against former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
In his case, which has lived for ten years abroad, Moraes decided to send a letter by means of international legal cooperation for his notification.
Moraes determined that the proceedings against the pair be dismembered, to ensure that the complaint against Eduardo Bolsonaro is analyzed before by the Supreme while the procedures for international cooperation are made for the analysis of the accusation against Paulo Figueiredo.
