Between January and July this year, Acre accounted for 664 occurrences of rape, according to data from the Criminal Analysis Observatory of the State Public Prosecution Service (MP-AC). Of the total, 128 were cases of rape and 536 of vulnerable rape.

Vulnerability victims such as children and adolescents correspond to 80% of the records. The survey also shows that there was a growth of 13.8% compared to the same period of 2024, when 583 occurrences were recorded.
The capital Rio Branco concentrates the largest number of cases, with 250 records. Then appear Cruzeiro do Sul, with 106, and Tarauacá, with 41 occurrences.
The data also indicate that most crimes were consummated. Of the 128 registered rapes, 118 were consummated and 10 attempted. Among the 536 vulnerable rapes, 526 were consummated and 10 attempted.
By Brazilian law, the crime of rape is punished with imprisonment of 8 to 15 years. In situations that result in severe bodily injury, the penalty may reach 20 years, and, in case of death of the victim, up to 30 years in prison.
